Cherokee syllabary was developed by Cherokee silversmith Sequoyah in 1821. This set of 32 Michigan basswood blocks by Uncle Goose beautifully displays the 85 Cherokee characters along with printed animal images and numbers. To make learning and teaching the Cherokee Syllabary easier, this set also comes with an informational booklet.

Open-ended building tools such as blocks serve a variety of purposes in the classroom. Blocks encourage children to build, stack, and arrange in many ways. Kodo’s curated collections of Uncle Goose Blocks also support language and literacy development through letter shapes, illustrations, words, and symbols.
