With hands-on, fun tools that encourage discovery, our shapes and patterns collection brings imagination and problem-solving to life. These educational tools, including touch sensory boards and bright blocks, make learning about patterns and shapes fun. While kids build, sort, or make patterns, they're not just having fun; they're learning how everything fits together, one piece at a time.

For kids with naturally curious minds, our collection helps them learn important skills while having a great time.

Why Shapes & Patterns Are Important

It's easy to find shapes and trends in everyday life. Learning about them early on helps you prepare kids to learn more in the future. Our tools help kids learn more than just shapes; they also help them think critically, become more aware of their surroundings, and improve their motor skills. Kids feel more confident and creative when they interact with these ideas in a fun, hands-on way.

Bringing Shapes & Patterns Into The Classroom

You know as teachers how important it is to give your children a variety of learning opportunities to meet their individual needs. This is where our shapes and patterns come in handy. By using these tools in the classroom, you can make fun, hands-on games that help kids learn in various ways and gain their interest in new concepts. Building a tower out of geometric shapes, making a pattern with sensory tiles, or putting together a puzzle are all fun learning opportunities that teach kids to think critically and work together. They're also great for group projects because they get students talking to each other and working together.

Shape & Pattern Products You’ll Love

Our Giant Pattern Tiles are bright, big tiles that let kids learn about geometry, color matching, and making patterns. When kids play with these touch tiles together, they can build complicated designs that help them work together and get along.

Introducing kids to the idea of patterns can be fun and interesting with the patterns Chips-Mod set. The sleek form and easy-to-hold pieces of this set make it great for building early math skills while letting kids play with repeated shapes.

Our Endless Pattern Tiles give you a lot of ways to be creative when you want to explore patterns in a more complicated way. By putting the tiles together in complicated designs, kids can improve both their fine motor skills and their ability to see patterns.

Finally, our Threading Pebbles are the next level of pattern discovery because they combine motor skill development with physical sensory play. The pebbles help kids learn about patterns and improve their hand-eye coordination as they string them together.

Make Learning Fun with Kodo Kids

Our shapes and patterns collection at Kodo Kids is all about making learning fun, tangible, and full of discovery. By incorporating these educational tools into your classroom, you’ll create an environment where children can explore, build, and learn essential skills through play. Whether it’s developing spatial awareness, discovering creativity, or fostering problem-solving, these tools are here to inspire young minds.

Continue introducing new tools to the classroom by exploring our products that support science, math and engineering concepts. Your kids will have fun while learning important concepts.

Jaci I.

Director of Early Childhood Education @ Congregation Beth Elohim

We have set up a sensory room with many of Kodo’s materials–light table, magnet wall, wind tunnel–and it’s a favorite space for all of our classes to visit. Parents and professional visitors are quite impressed with the uniqueness and open-ended aspect of the materials.

I met with the founder many years ago at a NAEYC conference when he was just starting and had just a few products and was immediately impressed with his understanding of how young children learn. It has been a pleasure to watch the company grow while maintaining the integrity of your knowledge of how young children learn best through active participation and exploration of their environment.

Cathy H.

Teacher @ Tennie Russell Primary School

Our little learners are finding new ways to explore through light, movement, engineering and more. Adding the wind tunnel to our lab has been a game changer in terms of excitement level and inquiry. Students eagerly explore how things blow when the tunnel is adjusted to varying angles, and they discover the differences in materials and how well they move through and out of the tunnel. We expanded our engineering/building area by increasing choices with the Swiss Ramp Stands and the Discovery Ramps set. In doing that, we sparked a higher interest in force and motion, including problem-solving on how to stop said motion. These are just some of the items we purchased from Kodo Kids with our grant, and we look forward to seeing our young minds at work as we continue to expand our STEAM lab.

Nature Preschool Teacher @ Oak Ridge Elementary

The Outdoor Ramps have been a fantastic addition to support outdoor learning at Oak Ridge Elementary. Students in preschool through 1st grade have been able to use the ramps in multiple environments, including indoors, on our playground, in our forest outdoor classroom, and in our prairie outdoor classroom. In addition, all students, regardless of their abilities, have been able to participate in ramp play. Students who are wheelchair-bound are able to participate in ramp play with their classmates due to having longer length sections that reach the child’s chair height.
