A set of four metal cups with magnetic holders are specially designed for your Kodo Magnet Wall!

Four Metal Cups are held in place on your Kodo Magnet Wall in a set of specially designed HDPE holders. Use the cups to hold balls or other parts. Place them at the ends of ramps to catch rolling objects. Children might enjoy removing the cups and using the rings to hold some of Kodo’s See Inside Pipe or Tubes (sold separately) or your own cardboard tubes. The metal cups might make a sound depending on what rolls into them – how fun! Use this set with your indoor or outdoor Kodo Magnet Walls. Try the following idea if if you’ve got an outdoor Magnet Wall; Place several cups filled with water at the ends of ramps. Compare what happens when a pine cone, a ball, and a pebble plop into the cups from a ramp or tube. Then help children record their findings.

Clean the Magnetic Cup Holders with a damp cloth and green cleaner. The Metal Cups are stainless stell and can be submerged in soapy water or cleaned in the dishwasher. Do NOT remove plastic caps from magnets. Doing so will void your waranty and cause the magnets to scratch your Magnet Wall. Allow all parts to air dry thoroughly before storing. Store indoors in freezing temperatures.

  • Introduce the Magnet Wall Cups Holders formally during a small group experience or arrange the parts on your Magnet Wall for children to discover on their own.
  • Fill each of the cups with a specific ball type. Invite the children to test and compare the motion, speed and distance of the balls on a ramp course of their design.
  • After children have had many opportunities to explore the holders with the cups, remove the cups and offer See Inside Pipe or pieces from Kodo’s Tube set. Encourage children to use the holders to hold the pipes and tubes.
  • Arrange the parts with your Outdoor Magnet Wall along with a bin full of water or a hose for children to explore freely.
  • Encourage children to invent other ways to use the parts, such as a means for producing a sound.
