Clean our natural spoon set with soapy water, rinse thoroughly and towel dry. Do not wash in a dishwasher. Do not soak or leave in standing water. Do not use with wet sensory materials. This product is made from a renewable raw material: natural coconut shell derived from the Coconut Palm tree. Inspect all wood products occasionally for wear due to normal use over time. Light sanding may be required. To add surface luster rub lightly with beeswax.
Q. Can the spoon set be used in a mud kitchen?
A. They are best used with dry materials, as all wood products check and crack when wet. We do not recommend using the spoons with water, mud or slurry.
Q. Can children use them with natural clay?
A. Yes. Dried clay can be brushed off the spoons or give them a light washing with a damp cloth to remove clay residue.
Q. My spoons don’t look as shiny as they once did. What should I do?
A. Restore the luster of materials made from coconut shell by applying a light coat of beeswax or food safe oil, such as almond or grapeseed. Wipe away any excess, allow to dry thoroughly and return to the play space.
