When numbers and counting are taught through hands-on play, we think it can be a lot of fun. The Numbers and Quantities collection of products is all about making math fun and important for kids. With classroom tools like bright counting stones and stackable blocks, we help kids learn about numbers and quantities in fun ways that feel like play.

Why Our Numbers & Quantities Products Are Essential

These math-oriented tools help kids learn math in a fun way because it's very important for them to start early. Our goal is to help kids not only learn how to count, but also understand what the numbers mean. Little ones learn more about counting and amounts when they do tasks with their hands, like stacking, sorting, and balancing. Kids can get ready for harder math skills later on by doing these kinds of activities. Also, they make math look fun and easy.

Why Teachers Should Incorporate These Products into the Classroom

Picture a classroom where math is like playing, with no scary homework or boring drills and only fun activities that make kids curious and creative. In the same way, our numbers and quantities line brings that to your school. With these hands-on tools, math is easy to understand and fun to do. Kids can learn basic math, counting, and number recognition in a fun, hands-on way. When students stack numbers, sort counting stones, or balance items, they learn important skills without even realizing it.

Not only do these tasks help students learn how to think critically and solve problems, but they also help them work together and talk to each other as they explore and learn. Our tools help students connect abstract ideas to real-world experiences through touch. This helps them connect numbers on a deeper level, making math fun and easy for everyone. With the Numbers and Quantities collection, students look forward to learning because they can try new things, learn, and grow in a fun, encouraging setting.

Number and Quantities Products You’ll Love

Our Number Pebbles Sum-Building Set is a great way to start teaching kids about math. With its easy numbers and math symbols, this set is a fun way for kids to practice adding and taking away. The natural pebble-like texture adds a physical factor that makes learning more fun and hands-on.

The Natural Number Stackers introduce a whole new way to count. As kids build their motor skills, they can stack numbers in order or mix them up for fun. You can use it to teach counting, putting things in order, and even simple addition and subtraction.

The Sensory Numbers set is a great choice for a more sensory experience. The raised numbers on each piece make kids want to touch and trace them, which helps them learn more about number shapes and forms by doing. Great for learning in school or at home!

Our Braille Math Blocks are another great feature. They make math easy for all kids, even those who have trouble seeing. These blocks help kids learn numbers and simple math in a fun, physical way that makes everyone feel like they belong in the learning process.

Director of Early Childhood Education @ Congregation Beth Elohim

We have set up a sensory room with many of Kodo’s materials–light table, magnet wall, wind tunnel–and it’s a favorite space for all of our classes to visit. Parents and professional visitors are quite impressed with the uniqueness and open-ended aspect of the materials.

I met with the founder many years ago at a NAEYC conference when he was just starting and had just a few products and was immediately impressed with his understanding of how young children learn. It has been a pleasure to watch the company grow while maintaining the integrity of your knowledge of how young children learn best through active participation and exploration of their environment.

Teacher @ Tennie Russell Primary School

Our little learners are finding new ways to explore through light, movement, engineering and more. Adding the wind tunnel to our lab has been a game changer in terms of excitement level and inquiry. Students eagerly explore how things blow when the tunnel is adjusted to varying angles, and they discover the differences in materials and how well they move through and out of the tunnel. We expanded our engineering/building area by increasing choices with the Swiss Ramp Stands and the Discovery Ramps set. In doing that, we sparked a higher interest in force and motion, including problem-solving on how to stop said motion. These are just some of the items we purchased from Kodo Kids with our grant, and we look forward to seeing our young minds at work as we continue to expand our STEAM lab.

Nature Preschool Teacher @ Oak Ridge Elementary

The Outdoor Ramps have been a fantastic addition to support outdoor learning at Oak Ridge Elementary. Students in preschool through 1st grade have been able to use the ramps in multiple environments, including indoors, on our playground, in our forest outdoor classroom, and in our prairie outdoor classroom. In addition, all students, regardless of their abilities, have been able to participate in ramp play. Students who are wheelchair-bound are able to participate in ramp play with their classmates due to having longer length sections that reach the child’s chair height.
