Invoicing / Purchase Orders

Questions and answers regarding how we invoice, vendor information, payments, etc.

Where do I submit new vendor paperwork to be completed?

New vendor paperwork can be submitted to our Customer Service team at info@kodokids.com

If you have a vendor packet you need us to fill out in order to be registered as a vendor in your system, you can email it to our Customer Service team at info@kodokids.com.

How do I get Kodo's current W-9?

You can download our W-9 here

Do you take purchase orders (PO)?

We gladly accept purchase orders (PO) from your company.

If you need a quote in order to create a Purchase Order, please see this article.

You have two options when placing an order with a PO: 

  1. Place your order via our website
    • when you get to the check-out process, under the Payment Method > Credit Card, you will see a checkbox to indicate you are using a PO:
  2. Email us a copy of your PO
    • Send a copy of your purchase order to order@kodokids.com indicating you wish to place an order
    • Our customer service team will place your order and send you a confirmation
What can I expect in regard to billing / invoicing?

You will receive an invoice when your order ships.

We invoice after items ship, as we do not want to send you a bill for items that have not yet left our warehouse.

If there are several shipments, there will be several invoices. We place the full shipping and sales tax (where applicable) on the first invoice.  All subsequent invoices will only include the items that were in that shipment.

We work on a Net15 basis, meaning invoices will be due 15 days after being issued. Invoices will be emailed to the accounts payable email address listed in the PO, or directly to the person sending in the PO.

Questions and answers regarding placing an order with Kodo Kids

Can I get a quote that I can submit to my finance office?

Certainly! Your printed website shopping cart can be used as a quote, or you can call or email us.

We are happy to supply you with a quote! You can email us your desired items, along with the shipping address to service@kodokids.com, or you can call us at 720-340-2704.

If you prefer to do it on your own, you can fill your kodokids.com shopping cart with your desired item

Enter your state, city, and zipcode in the Cart Totals > Shipping section of your cart and then click Update to see your total. 

Can I place an order other than through your website?

Yes, we have a Customer Service team available Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm mountain time to take your order over the phone at 720-340-2704 or via email toorder@kodokids.com.

How do I change our shipping address on the website checkout page?

You can enter a separate shipping address from your billing address with these easy steps.

When you arrive at the checkout page, on the left hand side, you will be asked to fill out your Billing Details including name, Company name, address, etc. 

To enter a different shipping address, check the "Ship to a Different Address?" box on the right hand side:

If you have already placed your order, email your order number and correct shipping address to service@kodokids.com. Please act quickly to prevent any shipments from going to the incorrect address!

Where can I find out about promotions, special offers, coupon or discount codes?

You can subscribe to our email mailing list!

Please note that we rarely offer discounts/coupons.  We don't want to overinflate our prices just to run sales and offer coupon codes continually.  We want our prices to be as low as we can make them on a regular basis.  We love to keep our customers informed about special offers, as well as Kodo happenings. Sign-up for our newsletter by going to our home page. In the JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER section at the bottom of the page, add your email address and you will be added to our list.

Do you ship to APO / military locations?

Yes we ship to APO / military locations.

We do ship to APO / military locations. However, these orders cannot be placed on our website, as they require a custom shipping quote. Orders must be placed with our Customer Service department. 

Please contact Customer Service at info@kodokids.com or give us a call at 720-340-2704 with your billing and shipping addresses, along with the list of items you are interested in purchasing, and we will put together a complete quote including shipping for your perusal.

Do you charge Sales Tax? Our organization is Exempt.

We are required to charge sales tax in 5 states, unless you have a sales tax exemption certificate from your state.

Please note that we are only required to collect sales tax in CaliforniaColoradoKansasIllinois, and New Jersey. If you are not in one of these states you will not be charged sales tax.

If you are located in one of these states, then if you are placing your order online, after you have entered your shipping address, you will see a box to check that indicates you are sales tax exempt:

When you have submitted your order and received your order confirmation email, please reply and attach a copy of your sales tax exemption certificate. We will make a note on your account and file the certificate for our records.

If you are sending a purchase order for a customer service representative to enter, please also include a copy of your sales tax exempt certificate and send both to info@kodokids.com.

Please note that a sales tax exemption certificate is issued by the state. A federal tax exemption does not exempt an organization from state sales tax.

Shipping

Questions and answers regarding Kodo Kids shipping process, time to ship, methods of shipping, etc.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

Yes, you can order from one of our international distributors, or directly from us.

First, we have International Distributors you can contact to assist you in placing an order if you are in a country they support.

Next, if you don’t find the product you want from our distributor, or there isn’t one in your area, we can take care of you. Send a list of the items you’d like to purchase (including quantities), along with the complete shipping address to info@kodokids.com. We will send you a quote, including the shipping cost, for you to approve and make payment.

What can I expect regarding the shipping of my order?

When your order ships, we will send a shipping notification with tracking details to the email you provided when placing your order.

You can also email us at info@kodokids.com to inquire about your order status. Orders are shipped via UPS, USPS, & FedEx ground. Some items will take longer if they are in production or backordered from a vendor. Most of the items in your order will be shipped out together and will arrive at the same time. However, if the order is large and is shipped in more than one package, the packages may arrive at different times. If all items on your order are in stock, you can expect them to ship within 2 weeks of your order date.

Freight shipments: Some large orders or items will be shipped on a pallet via truck freight. For truck freight orders, you MUST check the pallet for damage upon receipt of the shipment and mark any damage on the driver's delivery slip. We ensure that all truck freight shipments leave our warehouse in good order. Kodo Kids will not be held responsible for any shipping damage that is not marked on the delivery slip upon receipt of the shipment.

Shipping rates are subject to change but are typically 10% of the product price with the exception of our Spectrum and Flight Labs, which incur extra costs due to shipping on a freight pallet.   We do not offer expedited shipping at this time. Products / Returns

Questions and answers regarding Kodo Kids products and services.

Is there a warranty on your products?

Yes. We offer a one year warranty that covers all manufacturer defects.

How do I make a return?

Contact Customer service via the Contact Form or phone.

To return an item(s), simply fill out the Contact Us form and a customer service representative will respond or you can call Customer Service at 720-340-2704.  Please note, images are required for damaged items and can be uploaded to the Contact Us form.

In the event that the item is returned for reasons other than product defect, the customer is responsible for repackaging and return shipping costs. The box the items were originally shipped in can be reused if the sizing is appropriate. Once your return is received, you will receive a full refund for the item(s), along with an email message confirming receipt. No unauthorized returns will be accepted.

Are Kodo Kids products tested for safety?

Yes, we do test our products.

At Kodo, safety is a top priority. All products have been tested and are compliant with ASTM F963, which is the CPSC's guidelines for toy testing safety in the USA.

Are there Professional Development opportunities for Individuals?

Yes!

Yes, Kodo Community offers a variety of resources for individual learners including self-paced on-line courses and webinars.

How Long are the Half Day and Full Day Sessions?

3 hours & 6 hours

A half day session is three hours long. A full day session is six hours long. This allows programs to choose one topic for Half Day sessions and two topics for Full Day sessions.

How much does in person professional development cost?

In person Professional Development sessions are as follows:

  • Half day format for $1800*
  • Full day format for $2500*
  • Kodo Tour and Training (up to 2 hours) – $1500
  • Keynote/Special Event: Call for pricing

Where can I find additional resources on utilizing the materials in my program?

Visit our Kodo Community for additional resources.

On our platform, Kodo Community, we post free resources, blogs, and live sessions that are posted weekly. Additionally community members can post images and questions to recieve real time feedback from our educators.

We offer a variety of free live training events.

Yes, Kodo offers a variety of free live training events on Kodo Community. These events include Webinars, Live Play Sessions, Book Clubs, and Educator Livestreams. To learn more about these events and add them to your calendar, join the community today.

Do you offer virtual training?

Kodo Kids offers virtual training.

Yes, Kodo offers both live virtual sessions and self-paced courses. Live virtual Sessions are just like the in-person sessions, but over video! Self-paced courses on our Kodo Community site come in a variety of topics ranging from one to three hours of course completion.
