Kodo’s innovative Shelf Top Light Panel is designed to fit on top of a standard classroom shelf unit. Its frame allows it to be positioned upright at an angle allowing easy access. The frame features a small ledge that materials can be stacked upon to create designs and silhouettes made dynamic with white light as a background. For a change of pace, position the Shelf Top Light Panel upside down in the frame and rotate the frame so it casts light down upon the shelf top, essentially creating an illuminated tent-like space for story making and play. Simply remove the frame to rest the board flat upon a shelf or table. This versatile piece invites curiosity and creativity in preschool and school-age classrooms, child care programs, STEM labs, and at home. Bright white LED light panel yields 10,000 hours of illuminated play!

Dimensions: The Shelf Top Light Panel is 31 1/8″ wide x 11 7/8 tall. When positioned in the frame the board measures 12″ high.

Power cord is included.

Ages 3+

Wipe frame with a damp cloth. Use a dry microfiber cloth on the Shelf Top Light Panel surface.

Caution: Do NOT submerge in water. Do NOT use markers or other art materials.

Introduce the Shelf Top Light Panel into your learning space without the frame. Lay it flat on a table or shelf top along with translucent and/or transparent materials.

After children have had many opportunities to explore the board with materials, position the board in the frame. Allow children plenty of time to explore stacking and arranging the materials on the ledge to create compositions and silhouettes.

This bright white light panel makes for a wonderful prop during doctor and veterinarian dramatic play as a place to view x-rays. Encourage children to explore the shapes and silhouettes of the materials they place on the panel.

Flip the panel over in the frame and position the piece so that children have a tent-like story making space to use with small manipulatives, figures, and loose parts.
