The Wheel and Axle Kit invites children to explore how things move through vehicles, simple machines, chain reactions, and open-ended loose parts construction. As children build, their ideas often grow into storytelling and dramatic play. They collaborate with peers and bring in blocks, fabric, jump ropes, and other classroom materials to create familiar vehicles, structures, and working mechanisms. Generously sized components make room for ambitious builds while helping children notice how wheels, axles, and other parts connect and work together.
The wheels are made from durable HDPE (high-density polyethylene), a sturdy material that resists moisture, won’t splinter or warp, and wipes clean easily for everyday use indoors or out. Wheels click easily on and off the axles, inviting children to try matching sizes or create their own combinations. Bumpy wheels roll with unexpected smoothness, while oval wheels add a playful wobble. Children can also link platforms with classroom materials to make train cars, trailers, and multi-car creations. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for any reason if the item is in new, unused condition. In these cases the customer is responsible for repackaging and return shipping costs.
The box the items were originally shipped in can be reused if the sizing is appropriate. Once your return is received, our warehouse will inspect the item to see if it is eligible for a refund. If so, you will receive a full refund for the item(s), along with an email message confirming receipt. No unauthorized returns will be accepted
